Rosemary & Sea Salt Flax Crackers (Low Carb and Gluten Free) | I Breathe I'm Hungry

These low-carb crackers are gluten-free, have a great amount of healthy omega-3 fatty acids, as well as fiber, but only 1 net carb per serving! In fact, the entire recipe is only 6 net carbs. About these crackers…They are as easy as almond flour crackers to make, completely customizable and, as I said, I think they are way better than almond flour crackers, but you be the judge. Look at all those yummy seeds! The seeds and nuts I used just happen to be what I had in the cupboard, so use whatever low-carb seeds or nuts you have. I have a Costco bag of sliced almonds and so I took a handful of those and whizzed them in the blender for about 2 secs to break them into smaller pieces.

I hope you might give them another go sometime. These easy crunchy flaxseed crackers come together quickly in one bowl and with only a handful of ingredients. Hi Sonya, dehydrate no higher than at 37 degrees C. There is a neal reason these should be made in a dehydrator - flaxseeds in particular are very oily and these oils turn toxic with heat…thus, I am based in Australia where all temperature measurements are listed in Celsius as the standard? The basic recipe is essentially just ground flaxseed and water - from there the flavors are up to you.

These easy crunchy flaxseed crackers come together quickly in one bowl and with only a handful of ingredients! Gluten free, grain free and dairy free. Once you make these crunchy flaxseed crackers, you can seriously crack down on your fancy store-bought crackers budget. They are so crunchy and tasty. The almond ones are a bit lighter and sweeter tasting than the plain flaxseed, but both are great! And you can adjust the flavour by adding different herbs and spices, of course. I have had some feedback that sometimes the crackers come out smelling strange, and potentially I think this may be burned flaxseed.

So yes my English is average, so use whatever low-carb seeds or nuts you have. But fax mother made it in a 9 x 9 brownie pan. They turned out so good, I may make them to give as gifts.

  1. Because I was thinking of using them with a little avacado butter I made at flqx for a snack. I love how simple these are to make and how delicious they are. I did have trouble getting the dough to roll out even and the crackers in the middle were noticeably thicker than those on the edges. Bake for 10 minutes, remove and flip.

  2. Delicious, easy, healthy vegan flaxseed crackers — a great snack! Those raw people can get super creative, and they usually only use whole foods which is great. Related: How to Make a Flax Egg. They do! 🤟
