I might need more information in order to help troubleshoot it. Have you ever tried adding rexipe powder to ice cream. Absolutely delicious. Did you use the carton of coconut milk that you were referencing above.

I love making rhubarb ice cream, using an organic full-fat coconut milk from Safeway it has guar gum as a stabilizer. It tastes like a regular chocolate ice cream even better. Do you still add ice etc to ice cream maker. Just made this, but i have been feeling so much better being dairy free!.
But might I suggest this recipe instead for a slight flavor variation. Not exactly pleasant, I know. I made this and it has lots of ice crystals in it. Make a custard base, baby chu!
