Each recipe also includes a little back story of the dish, and why it is included in the book. The recipes were easy to follow and clearly written, and run the gamut cessert basic to complex in a way that is easy to follow and understand. Shop with confidence
After using a Martha Stewart recipe for the past 30 years, my family and I have converted to this one! The custard is the perfect consistency and really holds together well which I don't always find to be the case with other recipes. Meringue came out perfectly. I used my own pie crust recipe but overall this was a hit. This pie has become a staple on our Thanksgiving table in past years.
Another aspect of this book that I found a bit unique is that in lieu of listing recipes in order of course, this book is divided into the four seasons. I noticed this at my local library as a Staff Pick on a kiosk. I have the other Beekman cookbook and found the recipes I tried from that book were successful. I will probably be adding this to my cookbook collection. The photos are worth having the book but the recipes are very inciting. I was very impressed how they divided the chapters into seasons of recipes. The chapter started with a picture of the home in the season followed by seasonal produce photos and recipes. This really made the cookbook quite impressive.

Why a book about desserts. Not one person had anything bad to say. Pictures dessdrt nice and it looks like a nice book. But the wording and follow-through on the metaphor just seemed very literal…I was amused.
